Alexa

Arri is one of the oldest and most trusted names in film and their latest digital cinema camera, the Alexa, has taken the production world by storm. Besides offering the overall quality and stability associated with the Arri brand, the Alexa records to several formats. The proprietary ArriRaw file format records raw image when using a Codex box or the camera can record directly to Apple ProRes files on a Sony SxS card. The Alexa’s 4:3 shaped image sensor allows for the use of anamorphic lenses and its raw images have an impressive latitude of 12 stops, which can aid in the color grading process.
